Electric hydraulic forklifts are transport vehicles that rely on the power provided by the battery to operate. The battery in the forklift can store limited electrical energy in the battery, and when the power is turned on, it converts chemical energy into electrical energy. Therefore, the proper maintenance of the battery is related to the performance and working ability of the transport vehicle. Therefore, we often need to add electrolyte to the forklift battery to ensure its normal function.
1. Open the cap of the electrolyte bottle and pour the electrolyte evenly into the battery, with a height of 10 to 15 millimeters above the electrode plate, and must not exceed the marked red line. If it is too full, it will overflow from the battery. At this time, you can use a cloth to wipe off the overflowing electrolyte, or rinse it with water to avoid the conductive electrolyte forming a self discharge circuit;
2. During the addition process, if foreign objects fall into the electrolyte, they can be salvaged with wooden sticks, iron wires, or copper wires to avoid damaging the battery;
3. During use, the electrolyte will gradually decrease with the increase of battery usage time. It is necessary to replenish the electrolyte and distilled water in a timely manner to prolong the service life of the battery as much as possible.
Only by strictly following the correct method to add electrolyte can the performance of the electric hydraulic forklift battery be ensured. Therefore, operators must be familiar with the above operating steps and precautions to avoid potential hazards to the handling work.
