Precautions for manual forklift cargo loading and unloading

In the busy scene of cargo loading and unloading, manual forklifts are more commonly used. It is widely used in various warehouses, workshops, and logistics transfer stations due to its advantages of flexible operation and low cost. However, there are many precautions that need to be strictly followed when using manual forklifts for cargo loading and unloading.

Before using a manual forklift, carefully check whether the forks of the forklift are deformed or damaged to ensure that they can carry the goods normally. Check whether the tire pressure is sufficient, whether there is any damage, and whether the brake device is sensitive and effective. At the same time, it is also important to pay attention to whether the hydraulic system is functioning properly and whether the lifting function is smooth, in order to avoid any malfunctions that may affect operations during loading and unloading.

When loading goods, it is necessary to arrange the weight of the goods reasonably according to the rated load of the forklift. Never overload the forklift, otherwise it will cause serious damage to the forklift structure and even lead to safety accidents. The goods should be placed in the center of the fork and kept balanced and stable as much as possible to prevent them from slipping during transportation. For goods with irregular shapes or unstable center of gravity, appropriate bundling and fixing measures should be taken.

During the loading and unloading process, operators should maintain good posture and operating standards. Grasp the forklift handle tightly with both hands and apply even force to push or pull the forklift, avoiding sudden pushing or pulling. When lifting goods, slowly operate the hydraulic lifting device to make the goods rise smoothly, while paying attention to the space above to prevent collisions between the goods and ceilings, shelves, etc. When lowering goods, it is also necessary to control the speed and ensure that the goods are placed gently in the designated position.

Ensure that the loading and unloading area has a flat and solid ground, and that there are no obstacles blocking the forklift's movement. When operating in narrow passages or densely populated areas, extra caution should be taken and surrounding personnel should be warned in advance. If encountering a slope, one should drive with caution and take anti-skid measures if necessary.

Only by strictly adhering to these cargo loading and unloading precautions can manual forklifts be fully utilized, improving cargo loading and unloading efficiency, ensuring personnel safety and cargo integrity, and enabling smooth and efficient cargo loading and unloading work.
